Business Team San Joaquin

Business Team San Joaquin represents a public/private partnership between the Economic Development Association of San Joaquin County, the Chambers of Commerce, and the City's Economic Development representatives within our County. Each share the same commitment to provide the business community with the support and assistance necessary for success.

The purpose of the Business Team San Joaquin is to foster business growth and prosperity of local businesses in San Joaquin County which results in the creation/retention of jobs within the County. The mission is to provide assistance to businesses who are looking for resources to either continue to do business in San Joaquin County or those who want to expand their business within the County. The BTSJ Program and its professional staff offer information and services regarding:

• Loan Packaging
• Exporting and Importing
• Government Procurement
• Accounting Systems
• Identifying potential customers and suppliers in San Joaquin County
• Providing Employee Training and Hiring Programs

Addressing the Needs of Local Employers…
It is estimated that over 80% of all new jobs in San Joaquin County are created by local companies. As the economic prosperity of San Joaquin County thrives on revenues generated by local business, it is vital for the community to support and assist local companies with their business needs. Through extensive surveys and interviews of over 2,500 local companies, BTSJ identifies the problems and issues that impact particular businesses. After this assessment, a task force is assigned to the design and implement a tactical plan to solve the problem according to the specific company's needs.
